I’m a multidisciplinary software developer with deep expertise in C++, Python, WordPress, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and a scientific background in Computer Graphics and Visualization.
I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science (8.0 average) from Technical University Delft, where my thesis focused on Shape Correspondences and Example-Based Modelling for Boomerang Design, as well as a minor in Finance from the Technical Mathematics department. I work fully remote from Southeast Asia. I am fluent in English and Dutch..
Professionally, I specialize in C++ systems development, Chromium integration, Windows API, and OpenCV, while also building interactive tools, geometry/image processing pipelines, and custom WordPress solutions. My work bridges low-level performance programming and intuitive, high-level user experiences – and I love tackling complex, unique/new technical challenges that blend these worlds.
My main strengths lie in tackling complex software challenges. I’m highly detail-oriented, efficient in getting tasks done, and known for clear, effective communication. I work best independently, a skill I’ve strengthened through years of contract work, and I quickly adapt to new languages, frameworks, and technologies through self-learning.
About Me:

I am Nils van Veen, a 25-year-old software developer with over seven years of coding experience and 2–3 years of professional industry experience. Since I began programming in 2018, I’ve developed a strong passion for 2D and 3D geometry, especially the manipulation, transformation, and visualization of shapes and models. I enjoy creating systems where complex objects come alive—whether for analysis, simulation, or interactive tools.
Beyond geometry-focused work, I’m equally driven by building practical, user-focused applications that streamline processes and make everyday workflows more efficient. I love translating real-world problems into intuitive, reliable software solutions.
Outside of work, I’m a dedicated professional boomerang thrower, which has inspired me to design and model boomerangs using CAD workflows, Blender, and 3D printing. The precision, discipline, and consistency required in competitive throwing directly influence my development style: I stay focused, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
